The "Cruise Dickson" Car Show came to town over the weekend. A nice family oriented show, the event was packed with cars at the Dickson Plaza. Vintage and newer vehicles were there with all their modifications, quite a site to see. The show will be back every 3rd Saturday of the month; May 21 - June 18 - July 16 - August 20 - and Sept. 17 from 5pm till 9pm in the Dickson Square Plaza. More pictures further in the article. |

Dickson Grows, Don't Panic |

Imagine you are an elderly woman tending a store by yourself when you see 7 or 8 strangly dressed young people walk into the store. What is your first impression of what is about to happen? Do you suppose that they are there 1. Out of boredom 2. To make purchase 3. Steal from the store or 4. Harass the woman? Studies have shown that we will make biased assumtions in photos based upon common pubic prejudice. A similar question was asked in a survey with a similar picture; the most common answer was 3 & 4. Dickson TN is growing very fast and so is our youth. Be prepared for new, unfamiliar looking people but don't panic, examined in the right perspective, its a wonderful thing.

Daylight savings time has past, we have lost an hour.
At 2 a.m. on April 3, groggy Americans turned their clocks ahead one hour, marking the beginning of Daylight Saving Time (DST). The federal law that established "daylight time" in this country does not require any area to observe daylight saving time. But if a state chooses to observe DST, it must follow the starting and ending dates set by the law which since 1986 have been the first Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October. |

This weeks Free Weekly Movie Guide (Printed Edition) is being delivered, make sure the copy you pick up is the latest edition! First copies are distributed on Friday, last copies will hit the shelf each Monday.
